Since the last edition of the book and CD ROM, there have been significant advances in the basic understanding of numerous areas within hematology. The new multi-authored edition of the book and CD ROM is approximately twice the size of the 1997 edition, and includes a major section on immunology as well as new sections on red cell antigens, eosinophils and basophils, endothelium and coagulation.
